Doubting my ID skills

Hi guys! A while back i posted about how I found an abandoned ball python. I wont go fully into his story in this thread now as theres so much and this isnt a thread for it…

However, i was messing with him as i checked on him and now I am doubting my identifying skills

So originally under his stuck shed, i thought mojave, which is fine.
However now that hes beginning to look healthy and i am actually able to really look at him, his markings dont exactly match typical mojave and instead remind me of cinnamon.

Any insight would help because whilst in the past I dabbled with those genes i never got truly into them either despite me loving them.

If you need more pictures, i can get them now that hes not stressing out whenever i handle him.

Either way, i dont care if hes cinnamon or mojave, hes a good boy and has a safe spot with me.

Also please excuse the dog/cat hair on the chair and the broom and such in background, im moving things around.

I would agree with Mojave. He may have a het or something making him look a bit different, but Mojave is correct!

Based on what I’m seeing, I do agree on Mojave, there may be Cinnamon as well based on the chaining alien heads I see down the neck.

When in doubt you always have the option to do shed testing through RGI if you really want to know!

Mojave + cinnamon would be a savannah, which is a much more reduced pattern. I definitely understand what y’all are seeing that would indicate cinnamon, but in this case it’s just a mojave.

Thanks guys! I honestly was doubting myself :joy: and theyre some basic genetics to get so fussed over

I have no plans on breeding him or anything as i have a mojave th vpi ax hypo pied female so his genetics arent too important to me, at least not enough to test. But hes got a safe home where he wont be abandoned by trash

Yes he is a full fledged mojave. Not any signs of other hidden genes especially after observing his tail. But as the others stated getting a DNA check is power from knowledge. I have had several mojaves over many years mostly pure but you never know. I have Super mojave as well that I am still trying to prove out hets. Have fun dont worry about his genes everything will be fine.
