False Claim Warning For Reviews

I would really like to see a false claim warning or note by MorphMarket on reviews that contain false claims. I’m not talking about matters of opinion, but something that can be reasonably proven. Someone once left me a review with multiple false claims that can be reasonably proven by looking at our MorphMarket messages and it just doesn’t make sense why that review is still there in that state. I think this is something that after being disputed should have a note or warning from MorphMarket, both on the review and on the buyers profile because it affects the legitimacy of the review and serves as a warning to sellers.

Additionally, if a review states one thing to make the seller look bad and the opposite was claimed in messages between the buyer and seller, I think that would be a really good place to have a warning or note. Reviews like these really shouldn’t hold the power that they do because the claims are obviously false when you read the messages. Buyers that leave reviews like this do it as leverage to get their money back even when the seller is well within their terms.

Outsider looking in here…
From your reviews, it’s interesting that this is coming up as a comment now when you have a 5* rated shop. It’s from so long ago. Did you do anything to contact MorphMarket sales support at the time that happened? ReptileFBI on facebook is a closed group, so there’s nothing I could offer from that.

But I will point out that in the TOS you agree to as a seller it does state:

Particularly the “that a buyer or seller will actually complete a transaction or resolve a dispute” part.

From that review, you offered a refund regarding the cost of shipping for your mistake. You did what you should have done as a seller. Honestly the only thing I personally would find negative about anything is that it looks like the animal was shipped around Christmas time which is just hectic all around. Personal pet peeve, not something I expect everyone to hold to.

Did someone try to use this particular review recently as a reason to look for refund? Or question a recent purchase? I just don’t see what power it holds on a 5* seller that has excellent reviews for the last year and more.
I don’t even have all 5* ratings on an etsy shop. lol

If you head over to the rating and hit the “Dispute” button, CS will look into it for you.

Also note that as the owner of your account, you will always be able to see ratings, even ones that have been removed by MM. They are just hidden from the public and do not count towards your score.

The review hasn’t given me any recent trouble. I was just looking through my reviews the other day and it got me thinking about it. So I thought why not request a solution to this kind of thing! I know it’s a commin issue. What I really find to be problematic is that there’s no warning on the buyers profile. I just think it would serve as a better warning to sellers if there was a note from MorphMarket instead of just my review of them.

It was disputed when the review was originally left. I didn’t point out the false claims, but they didn’t feel the need to do anything about it. Do you think I should try again?

Absolutely.
The CS guys are only human and are always willing to re-review any decisions.

I contacted them. We’ll see what happens! Still though, there should be SOMETHING warning buyers and sellers about people who make false claims.
