Fat-Tailed Gecko Question: HELP

So. I have read and heard countless times you absolutely can not keep MALES together…
I am not, in any way considering doing this…
I am looking to aquire a PAIR of adorable Fat-Tails…
However… The person swears they are a ‘bonded pair of Males’…

Um… Wut?
If they are, indeed both male… Maybe they are very young?
Or?
Possibly mis-sexed?
I’m perplexed…
Thoughts?

When i got my two fat tails, i was told i got a male/female pair. Turned out to be two males, one ended up killing the other. Really, reptiles don’t really “bond”, especially geckos. I wouldn’t keep male/female together either, since at maturity the male will pester the female into breeding and could lead to fights as well. That being said, there are some genuinely ignorant people out there that tend to over-humanize their reptiles. That “cuddly” behavior isn’t cuddling, they’re competing for resources. Fat tails are smaller than leos though and if you need to a 10 gallon tank is fine for a single gecko if you were interested in getting the two. Hope to have helped!

Probably mis sexed. 2 males will kill each other. A few years ago I accidentally put 2 males in the same tub within 2 minutes they were trying to kill each other.
