From what I understand, the owner wanted to save money and tried transferring the servers which really messed them up and his wife died.
The admin (not sure on this) then went and tried to make it so they can charge for access to the Board of inquiry there since that was the most active part of the site.
Not really sure on the rest at this point

Also… After reading the post on Fauna…
Webspace and traffic bandwidth can be expensive. If they’re constantly loosing money because users running ad blockers and such then I can understand why they are hoping for some sort of membership to happen… They just don’t have the desire to really plan and do anything it seems.

Wow.
It is almost impossible to use fauna on my phone because of the ads now. That’s wild.
I totally understand that running a high traffic website isn’t cheap… But that response is something else.

I thought I replied to this because I found this post after the most recent fit because I felt like that long message was pretty aggressive and unwarranted. I started using fauna classifieds off of a different browser, one of those safe ones that blocks pop ups and ads
