First time raising geckos!

Yep, I’m going on an adventure into the gecko world and, hopefully, gecko breeding.
What are some things I need to avoid as a breeder…just general things I need to know before going into this.

  1. make sure you have the space for a lot of babies, and later adults, and that you’re able to potentially keep them indefinitely

  2. find an exotics vet within a reasonable distance to you. Issues like prolapse, egg-binding, and disabled babies aren’t common but may require vet intervention if they happen

  3. Try to get an idea of the basic genetics before you start so you know what to pair and what not to pair

  4. pair with intention, dont just pair the first male/female you get your hands on. Take a look at MM, instagram, and some of the bigger breeders’ webpages, decide what look you want go for, and aquire geckos based on that
