This was the only egg that made it out of a 4 egg clutch from a first time Momma. The pairing was Firefly het Pied x Pastel Pied (or Pinstripe Pied).
That baby looks like it’s going to be a stunner! What do you think it’s morph is? I’m sorry it’s the only one to have made it.
I honestly have no clue what I’m looking at here. I’m going to wait for that first shed before making any guesses. Not sure if there’s paradoxing or what going on. Definitely wasn’t expecting this though!
Where is the color on the sides? That baby looks crazy! Yes you will have to wait till it sheds, see if it gains any color. That’s pretty wild looking! Congratulations on that beautiful baby!
I certainly have no clue.
Okay, I feel better now.
What a peach! Can’t wait to see what happens after the first shed! Congratulations @chromatic_creations!!!
This is a crazy python! So cool! I am at a loss on how it looks like that with the morphs though.
It doesn’t have a pinstripe, pied look to me at all. So let’s do the most obvious it will be pastel(poss super) more then likely fire, and with all the pattern loss and crazy side colors and pattern yellow belly. And it would have to be a extremely low white pied? Also the dorsal stripe reminds me of Enchi, pied. Is there any possible Enchi in the mix? My official guess would be super pastel, Enchi, yellow belly, probable fire, low white pied. That’s all I can think of, wonder if someone has different ideas on this outrageous living artwork!
That’s one fantabulous after shed looking little baby! And of course I am so sorry you lost the other 3 babes but hopefully this little unexplainable dude makes up for it! Keep us updated with growth pics!
@banereptiles The pairing was a Pastel Pied x Firefly het Pied. I agree that the Pin Pied did not sire this baby. I’m thinking the striping is indicative of visual Pied, an extremely low white visual Pied. From what I can tell, only the belly is pure white. If not a visual Pied, this is one heck of a het Pied influence! I’m guessing Killer Pied, low white. I’ll send a shed in eventually to confirm.
I agree has to be a pied, just one of the lowest white pieds I have seen! No breaks in the dorsal at all! It is amazing! I still would think yellow belly would be in there as well, I don’t see it as just a super pastel, pied! That’s a gorgeous python!
Ummm, can I just say “STUNNING!!!”???
Wow, beautiful baby! I’m not that knowledgeable about bp morphs (though I do love browsing through them!), but I can’t recall seeing any quite like this before. The contrast in colors is really stunning!
So sorry you lost the other 3. :’(
Wow. Do you have photos of the parents too? That snake is gorgeous.
Drooling over here
It looks like she is coloring up just a tad bit. She is definitely different but being the only surviving baby, how fitting that is!
I’m assuming you are keeping her and if so and you breed her there’s no telling what she will produce for you!
She certainly is a beautiful little thing!
Cool! Like @caron said it is coloring up some, I love the yellows creeping up the sides! Very different looking! Thanks for the update!
Lots of differences between the first pic and now! So much more yellow happening, and it looks like there’s some lightened of the dark dorsal colors about 1/4 of the body length part the head. Very interesting little beauty.
