I love this thread. Such a variety of wonderful animals! It has also inspired me to take more pictures of mine as they shed. Unfortunately, I’m bad at getting them posted.
Here’s an assortment of freshly shed corn snakes. First up is Odin. He’s a senior snake, 15 years old. Caramel Ghost Stripe het Halo.
Here’s the lovely Niniane, a 2yo Moonstone Stripe who I’m pretty sure is homozygous Strawberry. The breeder wasn’t sure when she was a hatchling but said it was possible. She’s got more pinks in real life, and more than a regular Moonstone Stripe.
All of you guys take such wonderful pics! His head stamp reminds me of a hieroglyphic figure! That’s one handsome dude Christina! Or at least that’s what it appears to me!
I’m sorry to hear she has some MBD. I take it it’s minor? And that’s awesome she’s otherwise spunky and thriving!! Looking good with some fresh skin.
Miss Kea is super lovely, too! I don’t think I’ve ever seen the underside of one of those. Surprisingly colorful!
Gregory is also very stunning! He looks like he has a bald spot. At least in the photo.
Same here with the last batch of shedders. I’ll get around to it soon. haha Just post a few of them, because I have several in shed again, constant rotation and all.
All very lovely snakes, but gotta say Bragi and Odin, Frel, and Gloriana are my faves there. Love the mid-shed pics of that cute baby, too! Side eyeing you while you watch it.
@autumngeckos I wanted to ask for your eye on this little dark spot next to the dorsal stripe on this baby, I’m wondering if its an ink spot that’s developing but not sure…
What a pretty baby! It’s hard to say at that size, some babies actually hatch with dark spots or develop dark spots not long after hatch that disappear as they grow, especially in clusters like that.. Since neither parent have a crazy amount of spots, i would assume that’s probably the case here, but crested genetics are weird so it could stick around
Thank you! I needed to ask because I don’t recall ever seeing anything like that in hatchlings the last time I bred Cresties.
The mom to that baby does have a few Dal spots but they’re really small other than a splotch at the base of her tail. I’ll be doing updates on the baby so I guess we’ll see if it remains or fades
Gotta say, this is aesthetically an awesome shot between the lighting and the background! Love this picture, she looks like she’s feeling good after a change of clothes!
This lovely girl was not initially part of the group lot that I picked up, but the breeder who’s leaving the hobby decided last minute to throw her in as well. She’ll just be a pretty pet for me as I have no intentions on working with TSK line axanthic or spider for breeding purposes, but I’m still really tickled to have her. Back when I first started getting interested in snakes as a young teen, the first morph that ever caught my eye was the bumblebee. Never thought I’d end up with one, but here we are!

I also use those trays as hides and water dishes in a pinch, as well!
