@cmsreptiles that Russo is really nice! Subtle colors, but they pop! You’ve got quite the beautiful shedders there.

@armiyana I take it you were expecting eggs? lol Hey a shed and fresh pretty colors is almost as good.

@emfraise I hope Mew keeps her colors! Otherwise she’s gonna change a lot very suddenly. That’s funny on Mr. Happy Face’s temperament. lol The growing like a weed and eating everything in sight sounds like very kingsnake like behavior.

Gorgeous corns @deanaii! York definitely seems like a piece of hard candy with that almost translucent look (though part of that could just be my laptop screen looking way different than my phone).

@baby_yoda Dratini is a stunner! Maxx Pink line? I love the pastel splotches they get.

@caron Mr. Whitmer is looking spiffy with all those white borders around his edges! And love Miss Billow’s orange blushing. And another gray scale beeb with Miss Bexley, love them. And OMG I needed sunglasses when Little Abe popped up. :exploding_head:

@hb24 That’s hilarious. :joy: I see pictures around the internet of such occurrences but have yet to see it myself…congrats on hitting herping unicorn experience.

Not expecting them yet but hopefully! She and another girl have been coiling up in ways that suggest they’re in the early gravid stages. It was just adorable seeing her coiled up with that shed looking like she did with eggs last year. Lol.

:crossed_fingers: for her when she is due then! I agree it’s very adorable though. Even looking at you like she doesn’t want you take them haha

Freshly shed red hypo bull from Kingsville X Crumbly lineage.

And my female black pine with fresh threads as of this morning. She’s bouncing back well after laying a clutch of nine very large eggs 2.5 weeks ago.

Such scrumptious looking noodles Eric! I love the bulls and pines!!!

Both absolutely stunning! Is it odd if the second picture of the red hypo reminds me a bit of the painting The Fallen Angel by Alexandre Cabanel? :joy: It’s something in the eyes, I love their little grumpy faces!

To me their expression changes depending on the angle you look at them from. From more of a top down, straight ahead angle they look more angry/menacing. From the side they look a bit concerned or judgemental.

And yes, I can see the resemblance to Luscifer in the painting.

Got a few more to share - ball python edition!

Kappa, 2018? 0.1 Mystic Spider

Got this sweet girl back in 2020 when a guy who was buying tarantulas from me offered her up as partial payment, which I accepted because I wanted to formulate my own opinions on the spider morph and what they were like to keep. Her wobble is quite moderate (maybe even severe when she starts getting excited or stressed), and though she’ll usually eat for me, there have been several times that she has missed the first strike, bonked her poor nose, and then refused to eat after that. :sob: Love her to bits, and will definitely only ever be a pet for me.

Riot, 1.0 2024 Enchi Hypo dh VPI Ax Pied

I wish the pictures showed the way this little man practically glows. He almost has this greenish tone to him in person, I really hope he’ll hang on to some of it into adulthood.

Ororo, 2022 0.1 dh VPI Ax Pied

Not the best pictures, but I didn’t want to fuss with her too much as I believe this shed was her prelay! Sweet girl, albeit still a bit wary as she was an acquisition in late December from a breeder leaving the hobby and isn’t too accustomed to being handled. Nice to have a visual wild type around too, so I don’t forget to appreciate their natural beauty. Her iridescence makes her black patterning look blue under the right lighting.

I have a soft spot for spiders even though I don’t have one right now. Kappa looks like such a sweetie. I can envision her working hard for her meal with her wobble in the way! Love the “calico” spots! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:. I’m glad you have her!

It’s not difficult to imagine the greenish tones on Riot and the blue glow on Ororo either. Amazing what pictures still can’t capture. I am hoping momma Ororo has a nice big healthy clutch btw!:+1::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

She’s a lovely girl for sure and I’m glad to have her, as well! She’s gotten better with it over time for sure, in part due to me also figuring out the best way to offer meals to increase the odds of her hitting it on the first strike lol. She’s a charming little girl, and it never fails to make my heart melt when I look over and seeing her look at me with that silly little head tilt!

Some day I’ll find the right lighting and settings to capture their true colors. Here’s hoping as well, I think all signs point to her being gravid but I struggle with palpating to know for sure. I’ll admit that I kind of paired her on a whim, as she’s actually going to be put with Riot when he’s up to the task either next season or the one after if she doesn’t recover in time for 2027. If she goes, this will be her first year, and I’m not expecting anything crazy out of this clutch but if I hit the odds I’m looking for, it could be incredibly helpful with a long-term triple recessive project!

@caron

Fresh shed from Caramel  spotted him last night with that “about to shed” look that Cresties get, and this morning he was bright and fresh.
