Fridge for brumation?

Just wondering whether anyone has used an actual fridge for brumation? I’m exploring some more budget friendly options for bringing my snakes to the proper temps. Wine coolers are great, but they’re pricey and don’t hold that much. Currently, I’m toying with getting a used fridge off Facebook and hooking it up to a thermostat. I’ll put a smart thermostat inside the fridge to warn me if the temps are off. Does anyone have any experience with an actual fridge rather than a wine cooler?

Rather than a full on fridge, which may get too cold, you might try and find something like a large beverage cooler like those used at the checkout line at the grocery store

Maybe a small wine fridge type of thing. You can adjust temps and sometimes humidity - they also usually run warmer than the fridge by about 10-20 degrees.

Oh never mind I see you’re trying to avoid a wine cooler. I should finish reading the question first :grimacing:
