Many have bred hypo to hypo and so on.
So this could just be a random bab and he may not get more at all or may not even survive.
Defo too soon to say.

All goes back to the proving a trait thread.
He’s defo done this wrong. If all fails he looks silly…
I mean, all of the examples in his post do have a very distinct look to them, especially the LW, and the scaleless acts completely normal like any other baby, so imo it does look like there is something going on. We also don’t know how much testing he’s done behind the scenes as far as i am aware. That being said, i definitely agree that much more testing needs to be done, and the correct terminology needs to be used… If i were him i would definitely ask for help to outcross it and better isolate/prove it before i would release anything other than photos, otherwise it could cause a lot of confusing
I can’t really comment as I can’t access the page. Just what’s here… But if it were me I’d want to share the beautiful Gecko, but not too into claiming etc I know I’d need help with that
From what I know, He’s asked for help and so on, and not taken advice.
Definitely, especially considering how the hobby has been wanting so bad to make a viable leucistic ever since the super lillies turned out to be lethal. I know other people as well working with new traits that are sharing photos, but nothing related to the genetics until they know for sure though, but then again we don’t actually know exactly how much he knows? But yeah he should’ve made a few more supers to make sure
That’s the issue.
Making names and so on for cresties not even ‘created’ yet…
That’s too bad, i guess finding something potentially new can get to your head a bit?
It seems like there’s a lack of understanding that he could really benefit from having cleared up, especially when it comes to exploring a new trait imo, for his own sake, and for the sake of the people in the hobby potentially wanting to work with the gene in the future…
As someone more firmly established in ball python territory…
Don’t become the bp trait list. Lol.
With our banana/coral glow, bling/yellowbelly, and butter/lesser…the less confusing the better. Hahah
They definitely need to figure this out beforehand
Oh I know! It’s a pain isn’t it
When I first read the article I defending the person posting it, who I do not think was the one who bred it or maybe it was. Defended against people who had issues with breeding an animal you have proven produces a new trait that is visual and dominant back to the original animal to prove if there is a super and or it is Co-Dom/Incom Dom. Also on scaleless animals have been produced in other reptiles that have proven to be healthy and no issues. From reading the article where he puts names out on all of these different crosses I assumed he created them at least in Visual Het form. And that he was far further along in project that it appears he is. If you want to let people know you bred a unique animal that is fine. But until you have proven ur can be reproduced again and breed the super to multiple Visual Hets and every pairing produces Supers and the Visual Hets 100% of the time you can not say this is a proven new gene. And as mentioned here with the animal being as you as it is you can not say it is viable only that so far so good.
