Getting into Fat Tail Breeding

Hello everyone,

I’ve been keeping both Leos and Fat tails for a while now, and since I’ll be getting my own place next fall I want to finally get into breeding. I’d like to start with fat tails since there seems to be less attention allocated to them when compared to Leos, and I find their patterns beautiful. My main question lies with where to start. I have 2 fat tails at the moment, both I believe are male. One normal and one Amelanistic. I am obviously going to look to buy some females but I don’t really know a whole lot about any other morphs.
What’s major morphs are there, what are their effects?
What projects can I get into with my Amel male?
What projects should I stay away from? (such as, I’ve heard not to mix amel and ghost)

I’m not very familiar with AFTs (I have one girl I bought as a pet only, so she’s a spoiled little gecko) but the best thing I can say when looking into breeding any species is find someone who’s already an established breeder and cultivate a relationship with them! A mentor is one of the best things you can have in this hobby.
