Gold Dust Day Gecko sexing

Helpo! We currently have a male p. Laticauda (gold dust) and have been in search of a female

I have a much easier time sexing my p. Grandi day geckos, my eyes have a harder time with the smaller species and i second guess myself. Still learning how to be confident with it

I feel like i see pores but they arent as waxy as id expect for males. On the other hand, i thought our current male was female initially - mostly due to calcium sacs. Turns out he was just fat. And his pores are waxy as expected nowadays.

Would love input from someone more experienced with smaller day geckos!

Did you ever find out if its a male or female

I did not. Ultimately we decided to wait until we found some that had been sexed for sure and talk to someone more experienced.

Its my understanding that the smaller day geckos, any inkling of pores is male. But if this was a giant crimson, the lack of waxy discharge would suggest a female with pseudopores. So its just dependent on what species youre looking at
