Two years ago, I finally got the courage to get my dream snakes. After ~6 months (edit: of quarantine), here are some pictures of the group of WC Gonyosoma jansenii I have. They’re surprisingly hardy, and weren’t too difficult to acclimate or treat for parasites. They’re still doing well even after almost 2 years of having them.
One of my females was gravid (unbeknownst to me), so I also now have some surprise CH babies. They’re all over a year old now and have been eating well on a primarily bird-based diet.
Thank you! I’ll try to share more when I can. I think the key to having them settle down was lots and lots of cover and hides. It’s a 6x2x2, and there are so many places for them to retreat to or watch me from. They’re more confident approaching me, and show more curiosity rather than defensiveness or fear.
