These first two pics are a male Clown Firebold Tangerine
These next ones are a female Tangerine Blood Inferno.
These last two was a male given to me by the breeder and she said she didn’t know the morph. I believe it looks like a Murphy Patternless?? Not sure if it can be labeled that without a known lineage.
Excited to be getting these guys. If you have any opinions on them let me know. I really want to get into breeding them eventually.
They are currently 18 months old. My first Leopard Gecko which is posted on the forum as well has absolutely made me love these guys. Hope you guys enjoy seeing them!

TL;DR : Gecko 3 is what I like to call ‘Oldschool’ super hypo tangerine baldy
So this is going to sound crazy. But 20 years ago the last one would actually be ID’d a super hypo tangerine baldy. This is if you go by the general morph/color descriptions and have been in the gecko circles a while.
Because of how intense and beautiful the colors in line bred polymorphic traits has become, the ID of tangerine almost sounds ridiculous when you compare it to you Blood Inferno.
The Blood Inferno here if you didn’t know what lines of tangerine they were from, would be ID’d as a Super Hypo Tangerine Carrot tail Baldy. Calling the second gecko a Tangerine Blood Inferno is almost like calling it a tangerine tangerine tangerine.
Tangerine is more orange in color than the basic dusty yellow of a wild leopard gecko.
Blood is a line of tangerine
Inferno is a line of tangerine

True true that’s what I get for copy pasting the morphs they sent me. Thanks for the response once again.
Do you think they’re a good starting point? There’s so many morphs and most of the traits seem to be just … line bred brand names almost.
So because she said it’s a blood inferno it’s basically just a higher intensity Tangerine? Definitely finding Leopard Gecko morphs to be more confusing than Ball Pythons.
Any info is welcome as always

Leopard gecko genetics is more confusing because so much is polygenic and line bred.
Being a line cross doesn’t make it a higher intensity overall. You can cross a Blood to an Inferno and might still get a few that are the same color or less colorful than the parents. It’s the color of the parents and the grandparents, ect that help dictate how intense the offspring are.
It’s the quality of the originator’s line that helps make them shine. They are trying to advance by breeding best to best. So say 2 geckos that look like #2.
Someone else may just say: well #2 was really expensive and #3 is still a super hypo tang so I’ll breed them. The results would be a watered down mix. Maybe a couple can look like #2, but most would probably be between the two. And even if you took the nicest the offspring from that might still be a bit inconsistent. And that is what makes line projects ‘fun’. Turning them into your own.
The downside is a lot of lower end breeders who don’t know any better or just want to make money because of the Blood or Inferno names can take something like a 2 + 3 cross and still act like it is from the higher quality line because no one keeps track of these things.

Makes sense. I was hoping to breed my 3yo male that you commented on before. I think his Super Hypo Tangerine would go really well with the female here. Basically try to not dilute her colors at all and hopefully intensify them or continue the Super hypo route.
The clown here I would probably look for another Clown Firebold female to add to my collection. I definitely want to do this right with them and keep improving their genetics once I do start breeding.
Honestly I can’t even say any of these guys I got were expensive as I feel I just got lucky with the breeder moving to a different project. #3 was just a freebie for buying the other two. So very exciting to of gotten them.
I do not really expect to make a bunch of money off of them. I just find them super fun lately and have a mind that gets fixated on one thing at a time. So they’re my current obsession and I just want to have fun and see what I can do raising them and trying some breeding eventually. Whether I sell or keep the offspring doesn’t really matter in the end. Like I said before just want to do right by them in the end. If it does end up in me becoming more knowledgeable and passionate about them hopefully eventually I can bring something worthwhile to the community. I definitely don’t want to be known as a low end breeder of course
Makes me wonder I do find #2 to be quite pretty for a Tangerine. What quality do you find them? From what I can tell they’re in excellent health. No stuck sheds, no missing toes. Body condition seems to be fit.
I apologize for the constant responses and asking questions in each one. Definitely don’t want to be a bother haha

That’s definitely the best option imo. Some of the dark tangs are beautiful but those projects are so many generations already. Trying to start one from scratch is a lot of work and cleaner breeding projects like this would be much less of a pain if you’re working with small groups.
And no worries with the questions and stuff!
#2 is definitely a good looking gecko. Obviously with any new critters I like to quarantine them just in case. Cryptosporidium was a big concern when I was actively breeding Leos. It’s not as prevalent now, but I still try and be cautious. It also let’s me learn the personalities while they’re separated out and settling in.
I don’t know if they told you how old she is, but she looks like she just finished that juvenile growth spurt. She’s got that lanky kind of look, but her belly and tail are still a good size. She also just has the overall longer/slimmer shape to her which I like.
If I were to pair your two, I’d try and see about making sure the orange in the tail was worked with from the offspring too. It’s a bit more difficult than the body color because it can take a while to fully develop, but with a color that is already looking so good having as much solid orange on the tail is like the cherry on top.

I don’t know Leos, but they’re beautiful. I love that third one.

They’re quarantined currently no worries. Thinking of doing 30 day quarantine. For their personalities so far I haven’t really figured them out. They’re fairly skittish still and like to tail wag aggressively at me when I am near.
#1 and #2 are both 18 months old from what I was told. #3 they didn’t have any info on which was why he was free. I assume around the same time they’re all about the same size. Last owner was feeding every 2 days. Which I’ll be switching to every 3 since that’s my preference.
Yeah I am excited about her carrot tail. I hope her and my other Super Hypo can manage to get some full carrot tails. I’d like some full orange Leo’s out of them for sure.
Thanks! Yeah to be honest I originally wasn’t going to get #3. Just didn’t have the supplies and didn’t want to spend extra getting them and then have to head to my local pet store to stock up.
But then they were like “You sure you don’t want the third? I’ll just give him to you for free.”
Hook, line and sinker. Couldn’t say no. Had to rush and clean up my extra tanks. Scramble my lights and heat sources etc. chaos. But I love them and they’re worth it.
