Greetings from northern Germany!

Hey, everyone!
I’m Whux, or Emily. I go by either. I’m practically 30, pronouns are she/her and I am from the US, but I live in Germany.
I’ve always loved reptiles, amphibians and inverts, really anything that is “creepy crawly.”

Growing up, I was never allowed to keep these kinds of pets, so as an adult, I am finally able to have all the pets I want!

I’ve been keeping Lissachatina fulica for over 4 years and various isopods species for a while now.

I just obtained my first snake, Heterodon nasicus which made me want to sign up here.
I’m looking forward to learning a lot, enhancing my husbandry and meeting like-minded people!

See you around

Wow I love that enormous snail! I have thought about keeping snails because I think they are so cool to watch! That guy is is really cool! And the 2 little pods are adorable! The second one has the most precious little face!

I have never visited the New England area unfortunately but I am positive it is more interesting than southern IN! I have heard that the people in Germany are really nice as well.

Thanks for the pictures! You have a diverse collection!. Stick around!!!

Thanks! Yeah, snails are really great, pretty low maintenance pets. Unfortunately, Giant African Land Snails of every species are illegal to own in all of the US because they are so invasive. I think they have already been introduced, though, in some places with warmer climates like Florida and Hawaii. Owning snails in the US seems to be a bit of a headache to figure out which ones you can own where. But, totally worth it once you’ve figured it out!
