Today is my official 1 year anniversary of being a reptile keeper! I just thought I would show some of my favorite pictures I have taken over the year. My first reptile was Neptoon the crested gecko, second was Potato the northern blue tongue skink, and Elmo the Texas rat snake. I have also got many amphibians in the time. Hope you enjoy the pics!
Congrats!
Here’s to many more!
Congratulations @logar Logan! You have accumulated some great pics! It looks like everyone in your collection is healthy and happy but most of all adorable!
My favorite is the one with the 2 toads, one sitting atop the other one! Frogs and toads are so cute and fun! But they are all great and I know you are very proud of all of them!
I believe that you are headed toward an interesting career involving reptiles in some way. Keep your aspirations high Logan!
Your the best @caron! My goal is to become a reptile specialist vet and have my own practice and to eventually open up my own reptile retail store alongside my vet office! Can’t wait for you to come see it
Happy one year anniversary! You really manage to capture the character of your animals!
Well Logan I just might surprise you then!
Congratulations @logar ! You have some super cute little dudes! The pictures you took are really good ones, and I am in love with the little hats!! Neptoon is precious! I love those cute little eyes. I’ve never seen the blue tongues that blue tongue skinks have. I see one every time I go into my local pet store and be gives me side eye but never sticks out his tongue. So neat. I hope all your dreams come true for you; seems that there is high demand for reptile specialist vets and I’m sure you would be a great one!
Congratulations! Reptile keeping is amazing and hope you have many more years to come
Congratulations! Happy you found something you really love and enjoy doing! Great pics! Love the scaleless “walking” the tightrope pic!
Congratulations!! You get some really great pictures of your scaley kids, they’re all amazing! I especially love the crestie yoga and the party hats.
Your toads and salamander(s?) are also adorable. So glad you’ve discovered such a passion for our weird and wonderful herp friends.
Hey @logar, I just want to say I am so happy that you had the opportunity to get into herps. It is a truly world changing experience for sure. Also, we all are thankful and blessed to have you on here. You are a wonderful community member that has really taken charge on making a good environment for others to enjoy this community. Thank you for that and thank you for you!
What a beautiful statement @lumpy! I’m absolutely everyone here, very much including myself, agree!
Thanks everyone for all the kind words! I couldn’t ask to be a part of a better community! You guys are truly the best and I can’t wait for even better years to come!
Edit: I meant to put the best community I was tired when I typed that
