Hi- looking for suggestions on the best heating mats to buy that have adjustable thermostats or a reliable heating mat that will stay consistently at a steady temp. Thanks for the help!!
You’d need to set up a stat to the heat matt to keep at the right temp, so any heat matt would be fine I’d say.
I use long strip ones and smaller square ones atm.
Though I will be changing to vivs with heat lamps for the royals so maybe worth looking into heat lamps instead? I personally think they’re a better heat source for them if you’ve got him in a viv!

Just my experience but I had a few of those heat mats with little built in thermostats, they are very cheep but I didn’t find them very accurate or reliable. So I decided to only use them for temporary short term use to just give a bit of warmth, like in the car transporting snakes.
For my housing I use a separate proper pulse proportional stat fitted to the mat. Costs more but i want accuracy and reliability.
I also use back heat with heat cables in some enclosures. For that I use a dimmer stat.
