Hello again!

Hello everyone, I would like to announce my return to the platform.
I first want to say thank you to everyone who gave me words of support, which helped me a ton. I plan to be active on the platform for the time being. Some may say that I moved on from my gecko’s death too early, but I want to say that I purchased a new crested gecko, and I would like to know what breed this little guy is. I bought him at my local pet supermarket for about $60. And I think I got an amazing deal. This is my dream morph for a crestie to have, and to see this guy for sale, I couldn’t help myself. long story short, I named him Gerald. anyways, what morph is this dude?

Welcome back @canpotcresties! Just because you have moved on doesn’t mean you have forgotten about the one you lost. Everyone has their own way of grieving so if this little newbie helps you heal then so be it! I don’t think anyone here is going to scold you!

As far as the morph id, someone other than me will help you with that. I am not schooled in the ways of morphology! However I can say what a pretty little thing this new one is! Congratulations on a great purchase! I do wish you and your new little buddy the very best!:pray: Glad you are back!

And my husband’s name is Gerald btw!

Congrats on your new baby! He appears to be a yellow brindlequin almost full pinstripe dalmatian :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Glad to see you back!

This is Thumb Killer. He’s a yellow dal. My favorite too.

Its good to see you come back after so much hardship! Being able to bounce back is what builds us up

Hardships are temporary though, and its ok to feel defeated and take time to process that. I’m sorry you lost your last Gecko so unfortunately and I hope you can have an easier time with this one, they are really pretty!

@autumngeckos for the size of @canpotcresties new gecko wouldn’t you say this one is actually female? I’m not seeing any sign of a hemipene bulge from the photos shared. From what I see the Crestie is a female.

Most likely yeah, there’s definitely no bulge in sight, but im horrible at gauging size from hand pics  Based on some of my own pics of my geckos on my hand, it looks like a big juvenile to me, maybe right around the cut-off weight that you’d expect a pos male to have dropped their penes by (30g-ish). Males also tend to stay lankier for longer, this one isn’t super lanky looking.

But yeah, unless the store confirmed the sex by pore-checking, i would assume Gerald is actually Geraldine, with a slight possibility of “him” simply being a late-bloomer :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:.
