Help identify my snake

So how do you identify the Oriole? I have a male that looks just like the Oriole in your pictures. What do you think?

Just from what i can see looks to be a normal. Better full body shot would definitely help.

Basic pastel

There is no Pastel in that animal.

I agree with Mary, it is just a normal

I disagree with you here @t_h_wyman

That is not just a Normal… That is a very cute Normal … I mean, look at that sweet face

@mech Travis is right, there is no pastel in that animal.
A good way to look for pastel is hooks. A lot of the alien heads take on “J” and “O” shapes because they connect a lot more over the dorsal than a Normal.

With everyone using different cameras and lighting, it is hard a lot of the time to tell pastel just by colour.

This may help… Morph Encyclopedia - Pastel

All of this yes, but the simplest tell is that the eyes in the OP’s post are brown.

id say normal

@gracehurst2001 Oriole is identified by heavy banding, reduced pattern/absent alien heads, and intense orange all the way to the belly scales (scutes).
