Hello. I recently bought this boy from a pet store. He had a bad shed and I felt bad for him. He has been there for a month. He was labeled as a banana. I was wondering if he is more than just that. This is just a quarantine tub for now with aspen bedding to help see mites.

Looks just banana to me, I don’t see anything else.
If you’re open to husbandry suggestions, I’d suggest paper towel for quarantine instead of aspen. Aspen is quite dry and when he sheds again he will have another bad shed. Aspen also hides mites quite well, you will see them much easier on PT.

I second the suggestion to not use aspen. It’s so very dry and isn’t going to help with the dehydration/stuck shed problem. I’d start with paper towels for a week or two, then switch to coconut husk
