Hello all! I am a foster for a local rescue. We just picked up this lovely baby yesterday in an emergency situation. She seems to have an injury on her head w/ possible infection, possible URI and is malnourished. She is approximately 6ft and 2206g. She will be seeing the vet on 4/9/25. I was wondering if anyone could help me identify her morph? She is a very sweet girl and I would love to get any type of info I can on her.
Also, she will not be available for adoption until her health is cleared from the vet (some people wonder how fostering works so I thought I would just throw that in there). Thank you so much for any help!

My guess would just be a jungle or hypo jungle but other people are probably gonna chime in with something different lol

Poor thing.
That wound on her face looks nasty, and she’s so skinny. Glad she’s now somewhere she’ll get the care she needs.
Looks like a hypo jungle to me, but I’ll call in some experts who are more knowledgeable. @lumpy @tommccarthy @flrt-dennis @smite

I agree, definitely hypo and slight presence of jungle. Beautiful boa. That wound should heal in time with proper vet attention. Glad she found a good home

Update: She went to the vet this morning and even though she looks bad, they are extremely hopeful for a full recovery! She is on antibiotics and a mouth rinse. She is such a love! Has no issues with handling at all! We can attempt feeding in a few days. Thank you everyone for your help!!!

Glad to hear she’s on the road to recovery! Reptiles are super resilient, I’m sure she’ll be feeling and looking better in no time now that she’s getting the care she deserves.

I’m glad to see this boa is getting well-deserved medical attention now. He or she will always have problems with wheezing sounds as it nasal cavity is destroyed, it looks like. The head looks a little swollen to me. This is a very severe problem if it is because the infection could get to the brain.
Also, aquariums are very bad enclosures for snakes. They are hard to keep humidity and heat proper for the boa. Should be in a front opening cage or a rack tub system.

The boa is a hypo jungle boa, in my opinion. Hopefully, you will rehome this boa to someone who will just keep it as a pet and not breed it. It’s already had a rough life it doesn’t need the added stress of breeding put on it.

Hello! the aquarium we put her in was just temporary for maybe 15 minutes while we put together her bigger home. She’s currently in a 5x3x2 and will shortly be in a 7x4x4. We could not get anything ready prior due to getting a last minute call with no other info than it’s a snake. She is currently on antibiotics from the vet and I’m really hoping she thrives! When she is ready for adoption, which will be quite some time due to medical issues, she will be spotlight as pet only as with all our fosters and a contract will be signed. Not that the contract is a guarantee, but all we can do (along with home checks and reference checks). All our fosters stay for an undetermined time because we are extremely picky on the homes they go to. Also, any animals that are special needs, we generally just make them our family. We currently have a bearded dragon with muscular dystrophy that was supposed to be temporary and he’s now our little love. So if it turns out that she does not become 100% healthy, she will just live with us forever. I appreciate all your information!!! She is only my 3rd snake so I’m still learning. Fortunately we have an amazing vet and the reptile community (for the most part) has been super helpful!!!
