Im trying to identify this morph of this hognose i found, anyone know

I’m no expert, but that looks like an eastern hognose? Where did you find it?

Found as in wild caught? The species would depend on where you’re located.

I have never seen an eastern hognose! I love the color!!!

I found it doing work at my parents property in Montgomery tx

I guess i wild caught him, he was about to get run over and i saved him before he died

Given the city, most likely an Eastern Hognose then.

And yes. He’s a wild hognose snake that you caught. 3 species of Hognose are found in Texas.
As a heads up, hognoses are notoriously fussy feeders as babies, so he might be difficult for you to get eating if he already found something he likes in the wild. It may just be easiest to let him go in a safe area nearby if you’re not familiar with their care.

As everyone has already said, wild Eastern Hognose most likely, Heterodon platirhinos. I heavily recommend releasing this little one back near where it was found if you haven’t already. As Christina said, hognoses are known to be fussy, and wc reptiles in general can be a pain to get feeding. They’re also prone to parasites and disease, and getting them acclimated to being captive is not for the inexperienced.
