Help me understand hets

So I’m wondering if there’s a way to do this without shed testing. Say I have a pied and a clown and I wind up with a handful of normal visuals.
Would all be het for both pied and clown or no, and if not then how could I tell which is which? lol :joy:

As both morphs are recessive, a visual pied paired to a visual clown would all produce babies that are all 100% het clown and pied. Where it gets messy is when you pair hets to hets. Some morphs have hets that have visual “markers” you can look for that make it likely (but not guaranteed) the possible het could prove out, but most do not and would require shed testing to confirm without pairing to a visual, possibly several times, to prove out.
