Help needed identifying Yellow Belly in a clown combo

Hi there!

I believe this to be a Fire Clown. The mother is poss Yellow Belly, does anyone perhaps see Yellow Belly in him?

The pairing was Fire Poss Yellow Belly 100% Het Clown x Clown.

Thanks in advance!

Do you have pics of mom? Checking out mom would probably be the best first step

On this picture with him on his belly it looks to me as if got some of the fire flaming coming up the belly and all the highlights

@caron Thank you very much! He really is stunning!

@logar This is the mom, these 3 photos were taken a while ago, but is very close to her real colours, she is really bright, but does not really look YB to me based on what I can see online

These are new photos of her, but she is close to laying eggs so her colours are much brighter at the moment

@jsmiffballs thanks! Would you consider him to be a Fire Clown only? No YB?

Wow! @upscalereptilesza beautiful Momma to be!

@caron thanks! She is such a sweetheart as well, when I bought her she was just a Fire, the breeder apparently told the previous owner she could be YB, that is where the Poss YB comes from, and there was no mention about het clown.

But to our surprise we hatched visual clowns from her when paired to a visual clown last year!

I am not very confident the mom is a yb, although the fire cleans up the belly and makes it difficult to tell, I would expect more busy or slightly wacky pattern and maybe more light orange toned flames coming up from the belly. She is super bright though, even for a fire which can point to yb. In this case though I think it is her fired up about to lay eggs. The op clown baby’s belly does almost have the yb look, but unfortunately with a bright clown, fire I can’t say for certain. If the mom doesn’t have yb though I’d say obviously not yb. I don’t have much experience with clown, fire bps, so let’s see if anyone sees anything I missed. Very nice looking clown though, either way! Congratulations!:+1:

I’m not seeing the yellow belly, I’m only seeing fire. I also agree with @banereptiles That I’m not too confident that moms yellow belly. I would also agree that you would expect to see more pixelation in the sides. Beautiful animal either way!

@banereptiles & @jsmiffballs Thank you very much for the input! I am breeding her this year to a Red Stripe Yellow Belly Het Clown, so if I get ivories out we will know for sure, but I do agree that she does not seem to look like the typical Fire YB that you see online, as it is normally quite obvious with the blushing that she does not have

But thanks for the input, I really appreciate it!
