I am wondering if anyone can help me ID this baby. The Sire is a Black Pastel, Leopard Ivory Possible Fire and McKenzie. The Dam is an Ivory. I have been able to identify all the other siblings except for this one and its brother. They have a bright yellow color to them. I know it’s not a Silky way and Black Pastel mixture. The only thing I can think of is… a silky way fire?
What do you think? Your feedback and experience is appreciated.
Has mom ever been paired to another male before this one? I’ll be honest, this definitely looks like a yb complex ALS combo but I don’t see any way this is an ivory combo, there’s too much pattern and too much color. I think retained sperm holds the answer.
Could we see the rest of the clutch? Retained sperm seems very likely as @inspirationexotics said
Hey thank for the reply, this was actually dams first clutch, her paring was only to the one sire. I wanted to pair him up to her see what would come out…, unless she has a gene that I don’t know about and can’t tell because of the Ivory.
I truly appreciate the feed back… I’m just scratching my head what I could be lol
I am pairing the same dame and sire again, so I should have another one of their clutches next year.
And have you had mom since she was a juvie, or is it possible she was paired by someone else? They can retain sperm for years.
If it was mom’s first pairing then I’m definitely curious to see if you have pictures of mom & dad. It’s unlikely but we can always potentially see something in one of them that’ll shed light on it
