Help with a baby yellow ackie monitor

Hello! About two months ago after doing lots of research I decided to get my first ackie. He/she is a beautiful little creature and when I first got the little one it was obvious that the breeder I got it from really took the time to work with it as it seemed to be quite fearless. Unfortunately while fixing something in its enclosure (about a week or two after I got it) something started it and it shot out of its enclosure and tried to jump on me. I really wasn’t expecting it so it started me and I jumped which of course made the situation worse and then a chase around the room ensued. By the time I was able to catch the little one it was quite frightened and ever since it has had zero trust in me. I know this will take time to fix but I would greatly appreciate any suggestions on how to help gain its trust as even food does not seem to be helping much. Thanks in advance

I would reach out to the breeder your purchased your ackie monitor from and ask them what the best method to regaining trust would be, and explain the situation. Since that breeder will have had more experience with the actual animal, they may be able to offer a different insight then someone else.
