Could you also tell me what color these babies will be? The mom is Lucy and the dad is the one in the photo…so I’m guessing Wild!?
Yeah, they already look to have the speckled look and as they grow they’ll get darker.
Leucism is recessive in axolotls. So you need both parents to carry the gene to have Lucy babys. Since Mom is visual, these babies are all het for Lucy.
Unless the male has shiny patches (iridophores) or colored eyes (brown/copper or greenish) he looks melanoid as well as the “wild” coloration from the picture. Without confirming he is het for leucistic or albino I would expect all offspring to be normal “wild” coloration or the same as him.
