Hello all! Ball Pythons are listed as Baby/Juvenile/Sub Adult/Adult on MorphMarket but what exactly do these categaories mean?
Is a “Baby” 0-6 months old
Juvenile 6 - 12 months
Etc etc
How are they categorized?
Thanks

Welcome to the community @newmo and what an excellent question! How they are listed varies on every breeder who post them. There is no set guideline in the community that people follow when it comes to listing animals as baby, juvenile, etc.
How I list my animals based on the maturity scale above is:
Not ready = under 100 grams and wouldn’t ship out
Baby = 100 - 300 grams
Juvenile = 300 - 700 grams
Subadult = 700 - 1400 grams (males will be listed as adults at 800 grams)
Adult = 1400+ grams OR a proven breeder
If I have a male that is a proven breeder and under 800 grams, I will list him as an adult because he’s been proven to breed. However, I usually will make a note on the description of their listing.
