I’m visiting some family New Mexico in a few weeks, and based on inaturalist, local stories and government data, I know that that town has western hognoses, but I’ve never been able to find any. I’ve been herping there for years and found plenty of lizards and rattlesnakes, but never any hognoses. Does anyone have any advice on how to find western hogs in the field?
