Mr.Turtle man enjoying his evening soak, i realized I added a bit much for water,so I had to scoop water out of it so it wasn’t to much. He actually explored around the entire tub,he got onto his cork wood and just kinda floated around for a bit,tonight he put his head in the water,watching me and what I was doing,I was getting his tooth brush to get some greens off his shell, as soon as I started at his back near his booty his eyes just closed kinda like “AHHHHHH,that’s niiiiiiiice!!!” And when I would stop he would look at me as if to say “hmmmm,lady why you stop” I let the honey stay on for about 10 extra minutes tonight I think he may have bumped up against the inside of his hide and it rubbed up against his shell wound, so he had a little blood spot which I immediately tended to his shell! I cleaned his hide also. I’m so very proud of this fella, dude came to me today! Not for very long,but he crawled up my lap (with a little help from my left arm to help position him) and he just crawled into my lap curled up in the towel and just laid there for what felt like a really lengthy amount of time
then he peeked his head out and stretched out his neck,and once he noticed his black tub he started trying to get to it from my lap,so I filled up his tub and sat him in it and he started drinking water swam a little bit then crawled onto his cork wood. He’s the sweetest little shelled dude! After his soak I cut smaller portions of the gauze and wet it and then I explained to him that I know he isn’t a fan of this part,but that I just needed him to trust me for just a little bit longer,he looked at me kinda started to breathe a bit harder,so I started speaking softer to him,and he slowed his breathing,and he let me bandage up his shell kinda wondering how old he may be… This may sound dumb,but is there a way to guess at his age? Kinda like with the inside of a tree stump depending on how many rings tells the age of the tree… Kinda figured maybe his shell could help give a guestimate to his age
