So I used to have some whites tree frogs I rescued, and unfortunately, they died, but I’m getting a crestie for the same tank. I have already cleaned out all the accessories, but there is dirt on the walls. Are there any solutions I can use to clean it better without harming the crestie?
You can look up some reptile safe cleaning products to clean with. I’ve seen people use a 10% bleach solution, then rinse with hot water and allow it to fully dry for 24-48 hrs so it can air out completely. You can also use white distilled vinegar/water mix which is what I use to clean my enclosures and all of my reptiles are perfectly healthy. Whatever you do just don’t use any super harse chemicals and definitely wash it out after cleaning it and let it dry 100% before setting up an enclosure for the crestie to mitigate any kind of germs you might be worried about.
thx, also- what are the measurments for the viniger water mix?
I do 50/50 as vinegar is safe to use around animals but the smell can be strong lol so just even parts water and vinegar and you’ll be good
