How Early Can Young Female Ball Pythons Breed?

Well said.

Basically this year for example I need
My 1200g 2 year old female leopard
Pastel yb.

She ovulated at 1600g. Lost 625g during incubation and pregnancy. Gained it right back within a couple months.

Of that same female was thin, missed a lot of
Meals or had past health issues , no I would not have paired her.

Because I am experienced and learned how to
Read my snakes and all my
Reptiles I could tell she could handle
It and most
Of
All THEY know if they can handle
It. So if anyone’s ever unsure , let them be the judge of when it happens because guess what? They are lol.

Now because my
Female never had a health issue , ate every meal since birth , had amazing muscle tone and girth to her , I knew she a prime candidate.

Now this year she gets to rest and gets skipped over. I now will let her finish growing to her adult
Size. She’s now 3 years old and 1250g. Although if I didn’t breed her early she would
Probably be about 1800 by now.

So this time next season I expect her to be at least that. They regain the eight really fast after and build those
Folicles all over again. This year she will just absorb.

Little trick I do too.

Put my
Male with a supervised pairing for a few hours to stimulate aggressive feeding response after maternal incubation process. Or could use his shed too maybe.

But she already gained 275g in 2 months.

5 months without eating !

Here’s a current pic of mom
And daughter.

Does she look unhealthy ? lol. I don’t use incubators so she even incubated her own eggs which hatched day 52! They know where to lay, how to lay, how many eggs to lay. Don’t underestimate Mother Nature.

They for
This :+1: if
Your female has always eaten her meals , has a good
Thick build, is strong , active , alert, and overall healthy go
Ahead and pair second winter , keep in mind they will gain hundred of
Grams during the building phase.

Of
She’s missed
Some
Meals, is still kind of thin and you don’t feel a strong grib when she’s coiled
On you , then wait until third or more.

Female
Ball Python who hasn’t bred will generally
Take 5 years to
Reach the majority of her weight and length.

They have 30-50 years to gain their weight back when they loose it. They are mother natures most perfect design.:snake:
