I just purchased my first ball python last Friday. Her normal feeding schedule is every Tuesday. I tried to feed her yesterday and she refused, which I am not concerned about bc I know they may take some time. I’m just looking for recommendations on a normal adjustment period.
Always wait a week with no holding or contact except for temp checks and water changes.

Does age or size have anything to do with adjustment time. She is 505g and reacts to me when I’m around. Also I have not held her since Friday to give her that adjustment time.
One week. No disturbances, except like above fresh water etc is good for a new snake.

Sometimes 2 weeks or even a month is necessary, it all depends on the individual snake. Though at least a full week is needed.

Wait a week to feed and wait until shes consistently eating before you start holding her.
