Curious to know what thoughts are held on hybrid african house snakes? Like breeding a Lamprophis lineatus to a Lamprophis fuliginosus?
Is it about the same as when two different ratsnakes are bred together like a black rat with a yellow rat?
Are there any examples of what hybrid house snakes look like?
The black rat snake and yellow rat snake are the same species (both are Eastern rat snakes), just different locality variations, much like rosy boa localities. From what I understand, those house snakes are 2 different subspecies. I haven’t heard of any being made personally, though many see making hybrids as taboo so I find it unlikely given how few breed them.
