I just bought this boa and I’d really like some hope with identifying the morph

Hey fellow boa owners I recently purchased this boa and was told it was a vpi pink panther but I was told it looks a lot like a vpi snow also that it could be anerythristic. I’m new to boas and don’t really know anything about morphs if you have any idea lmk idk where else too look

I’ll go ahead and tag some boa folks (sorry if I miss any of you)
@tommccarthy @lumpy @smite @flrt-dennis @mattcookreptiles

Easiest way to compare what they look like would be head to morphmarket and filter by vpi albino and anery (type 1, I believe) and see why the results show. I’m definitely not a boa person so I’m not a great one to ask. That said, there appears to potentially be some type of pattern mutation going on here, maybe pink panther does that? I’m not sure. I don’t think I see a vpi snow, but again, tagging the experts since I’m probably incorrect.

If this is a smaller snake, which it looks to be, the colors seem off for what a show should be. I’d expect less red/brown tones, and more yellow/cream and black/grey tones.

It doesn’t look like a snow to me. My guess would be VPI motley (motley alters pattern and causes the circular pattern). I’m not familiar enough with Pink Panther to say if this boa has it or not.

I’m definitely not an expert, so take anything I say with a grain of salt. Hopefully the experts will arrive soon and offer their thoughts.

I would say its a VPI motley for sure. It could have pink panther in it. Pink Panther is just a line breed pastle trait. That Dave and Tracey Barker at VPI started. It is a form of caramel albino that unlike the T- albino’s(which have an absence of melanin throughout their lives) will have a reduction in melanin as they age.

If you breed it, you will have to get a het VPI or another VPI boa to produce VPI T- albino boas. You can not use Sharp, Kahl, or any other t- albino to make VPI boas.

Thank you for the help I didn’t know that. You sound Very knowledgeable in the subject and I have seen that the price varies online but some very similar to this one have sold for around 600-1000$. He’s a male around 2.5 ft long less than 2 years old do you have any idea how much a boa like this could sell for @tommccarthy

There is a lot for VPI motley. Just uses the search and use the filters to just put in VPI ans motley.
