Today is a very sad day for me and I’m just here to share it with the rest of you. The passing of Paul Santos! He passed away in home at the age 48. I’m very heart broken over this . Paul was great humanitarian! He loved people and he loved animal. He spent his live in Dr raising tiger and working with reticulated pythons then came back to the USA where he was born in NyC and settled down in Dallas Texas . For those of you that knew the real Paul I don’t know if you were called and made away of his passing. I found out because I had pain in my chest and a friend intuition …because the last 4 weeks Paul was to go on a vacation. And I hadn’t heard from him and I just had this bad feeling in my chest and so I did some searching and …he passed away. I love you Paul like a brother…may our creator of this world keep you safe and watch after your son brandon . If this ain’t allowed I’m sorry, but I’m not on Facebook or Instagram to reach the reptile community and this seemed like the hub to do it. I also posted on my tiktok and my YouTube. If any of you have memories with Paul please share them and let’s make sure the reptile world doesn’t for get him
I don’t know why this post would not be allowed here. To be honest I have no knowledge of your dear friend but I certainly need to do some research on him because the pictures of him and the way you describe him and the fact that you are heartbroken over his passing makes me feel that he is very deserving of mourning over his passing. I am hoping that someone else here will see your post and recognize this man and pay him the respect you have.
Thank you! He was a Good human in this lifetime he loved animals he loved the hobby he loved providing for them and caring for them…and he was a great. Friend to those who knew him and those who gave themselves the opportunity to be in his vibration in this life. He really cared
You are very welcome. Don’t hesitate to come back anytime. I do not do FB or Reddit or Instagram, etc. This is the only social media I take part in. There are a ton of caring people here, about animals and humans too. You need to grieve as much as you need to as long as you need to. Crying is therapeutic. I’m sorry he was taken so young. He was just a few days younger than my son. 48 years old is just not fair. Life is not fair either…..
I’m sorry for your loss. I didn’t know your friend, but I do know what it is like to bid adieu to a dear friend. It sounds like he was quite an animal lover. Hugs and prayers.
Paul Santos before he moved back to the USA he spent his time in DR. Working the locality species of reticulated pythons that migrated there he did a huge amount of research on those animal and how they developed as locality type in DR or untapped morphology. He also was very involved in veterinary work with tigers. While in Dallas he was working with Burmese pythons and that new Carmel gene or something. Paul loves preservation and conservation and he understood the need for protecting the private sector of pets. I hope he is never forget in the hobby. We will be be adding Paul Santos as a part of the discovery and documentation of the white wall project to ensure Paul’s name is not forgotten by the pet trade. He spent two year taking care of A2 during covid she was in his car and she became the most beautiful animal today and her offspring are growing into amazing animals. We hope to produce a new litter this season coming and present the morphology included Paul Santos as a huge part of this work. We hope the community will honor Paul Santos and the project by allowing the project to have it own category in the boas morph index as a new morph to credit Paul achievements and his memory as a part of the boa constríctor morphs community and. The snake pet trade.
Thank you for being here to read my thoughts and memories of my best friend Paul Santos . He funeral will be held in Rhode island July 26
Thank you..I know Paul would have appreciated all the kind people coming together to celebrate him and honor his goals and things he did in the hobby for the better of the animals.
