I have no clue what to do. I rescued a tadpole from a 90 degree pool of water that was drying up and it turns out we had a hitchhiker. He was just sitting in the tank next to a 3 inch tadpole. I am surprised he hasn’t been eaten. I can’t put him back as the puddle has dried up but I don’t know what to feed him or anything. Can anyone help? I am thinking maybe fish flakes? I am still in a bit of shock so I can’t think clearly yet and probably won’t be able to until tomorrow so any help is super appreciated. Not knowing what to do is one of the scariest feelings out there.
I am thankfully able to say that it seems to be doing pretty decent. I tried feeding some small pellets and flakes not expecting anything to come of it but I have been noticing a full belly (yes, the skink around it is translucent so I can see if there is anything in it) and finally caught him eating! And I say he with absolutely 0 clue what species it is, much less the sex
Little update. Everything seems to be going pretty well with the little guy. It is growing, very slowly, and seems to be filling out a bit. But it randomly turned pink. I have no clue what is up with that. It looks a lot like a miniature leucistic axolotl lol.
