Ok, So I have A couple questions about my corn snake Odie. He’s my first snake. I was wanting to know if you guys knew what morph of corn snake he was and if it’s too early to tell if he is a he Lol. I got a few pictures of his tail, but I can’t quite tell and I was wondering if you guys could help me

He’s a tessera for sure. I think anery tessera, but it’s possible he’s a dark ghost tessera. Do the belly checkers look black or chocolate brown in person?

Welcome to you and your pretty snake! Do you have any idea how old it is? It looks a bit light for a young Anery, maybe, to me. I’m leaning towards Ghost Tessera, especially if the belly checkers are not black. (Ghost is Anery + Hypo.)

I’m not sure how old for sure, but if I had to guess I’d say about 4 to 5 months

Maybe Ghost. If it’s that young, it’s on the light side for Anery. There’s an awful lot of natural variation within morphs, and it can be hard to tell a light Anery from a dark Ghost dorsallly. Belly checkers are the tip-off. When you have a chance, try and get some pics top and bottom in natural light. Outdoors on a cloudy day is perfect, or indoors near a window which isn’t getting sun. Neither indoor lighting nor bright sunlight is the best for color accuracy.

He’s a bit lighter than what is showing up in the pictures, and the checkers on his stomach are for sure brown

Well, too me in that light, I see Anery Tessera as was originally suggested. The belly checkers look very dark, as one would expect with Anery.
