ID ideas for shed testing?

To preface this, the male will be shed tested. Hes in shed now and shed testing has been my plan for quite awhile. But trying to narrow down what i should test for.

But… he had some funky babies that dont match any of the possible outcomes so im looking for ideas on what could be expressing in these babies.

Polymorphism? Or a mis ID’d gene? Champagne is a given

First clutch leopard champagne het hypo possible chimera/mosaic X fire het hypo

Second clutch, same male paired to an enchi hypo

They look like Genetic Stripes to me, even the Sire.

Unfortunately there’s no shed test for it, but I’d reccomend looking at other examples on MorphMarket because they are pretty much identical to what you’ve got going on.

All the babies you show look like GS Champagnes with ringers

The first 2 also look to have Fire

Do you have a photo of the Dame?

Do you have full clutch pictures? It is a lot more helpful in determining possible genes present when you can see everything involved and not just one or two animals

From first glance I would suspect YB or similar gene might be present, as it is known to present with a strong dorsal stripe in Champ. That said, there are just some Champs that have a strong dorsal on their own. All part of the genetics in the breeder’s stock

But the odds of two females also having surprise genetic stripe? If this wasn’t a male maybe you could say partho…but then you can end up with too many lethal supers if that was the case.

I have to agree with this. I’d consider testing for YB complex. But if negative, then dad is just a beautiful example of a champagne. Even with the wobble, a high quality champagne is a very pretty morph.
If you still have contact with the breeder your male originated through, maybe they have photos of the champagne relative.
This could just be polygenics.

There is a shed test for GS. RGI has Genetic Stripe.

Im aware, But this isnt genetic stripe. That would be incredible odds to hit g stripe across three animals with no known g stripe as these babies came from two seperate females that were mentioned in the post.

I need to get my eyes checked :face_with_spiral_eyes:

I completely missed that the 3rd baby was from a different female.

Interesting though that all of them look so similar even with different dames, your boy has some strong influence on his kiddos.
