So i know its a black eyed lucy ivory pastel but it has that spot on its head would that be part of the scaleless morph? or just a lucy marking

A picture would probably help :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Black eyed Lucy, pastel and ivory? Or just ivory pastel? Ivory isn’t actually a black eye Lucy. Ivory is super yellow belly. If there’s black or brown coloring on the head that’s very common.

Ivory is technically a black eyed leucistic (at least as much as super mojave is a blue eyed leucistic), it’s just not a fire complex black eyed leucistic. But yes, we would need a picture to help.

But if you look at the complexes as a whole, freeways and highways in the yellowbelly complex are still very dark animals.
At least with fire complex animals they do all result in a reduced amount of melanin and Blk eye lucy combo.

Yellow belly and it’s allelic morphs are the super stripe complex
Fire and it’s morphs are the BlkEL complex

Maybe it’s just a personal take on it. But especially if OP was wanting to produce Lucy offspring in another post, this is a VERY important distinction to make

No, I get what you’re saying. I’m just pointing out that technically speaking, super yellowbelly is in fact a black eyed leucistic morph. But you are absolutely correct that an ivory paired to fire complex would not produce the traditional BlkEL complex combos.
