i know these haven’t shed yet, but looking to know what these are especially which are super asphalt.
paring was
F=BH+Mojave+Asphalt
M=S.Asphalt+pastel
My guess is 2, 4, 7 and maybe 3??

None of these are super asphalt. You would know immediately if they were.
I see a couple of pastaves and what may be a pastel asphalt.
Are you sure that male is the sire?
then somebody is mis identified
The male is genetic tested super asphalt but is not very visual as super.
6-23-24 male lock with Super Orange Dream + Ivory genetic tested. Was listed as fire but tested negative, however there is another unknown fire gene floating around RGI is searching for.
12-17-14 male lock with Super Asphalt + Pastel and this date mating correlates with the hatch date
This would be very disappointing if she grabbed the sperm from the first male.
This is extremely disappointing.
Please tell me what you see knowing this.
It’s pre shed so I can’t really say but 1 and 6 do look more likely to have OD to me. I still don’t see anything that screams super asphalt. But I could be wrong.
The other issue is that since both males locked, this could be a dual side clutch. And OD and asphalt can sometimes have low expression that makes it difficult to ID.
I suppose I should separate them right away and just send in the sheds.
I appreciate you.
I am sorry, but this animal is not a SuperAsphalt. Are you certain you are reading the test results correctly?
Can you post them so we can see them?
I agree with @t_h_wyman here. If your genetic tests showed that your male is super asphalt, the tests were wrong and I would get back with whatever testing company you used and ask them to re-run the test. The male you posted a picture of is not super asphalt, or at least he is a terrible example of it. If that male is in fact super asphalt and the test is correct, I would move him out of your breeding program because his asphalt expression is not worth passing on to offspring.
I have come across a number of people over the last six months or so that have purchased their tests from Kobylka and were mis-identifying their animals because they were not correctly understanding the “certificates” that Kobylka sends out
This is why I asked to see the actual test results for this animal
I would suggest contacting RGI and maybe see about sending in a new shed
unfortunately im halfway thru breeding this year. however i do have eggs already in incubator with him pared to a femalexthat has ivory, so I just may wait for that result. guaranteed to show something I think.
They are redoing a full panel. They did say that particular test is pretty solid but contamination can happen. In a week eggs will be hatching where he was pared with a female that had ivory in her genes, so looking forward to some definitive info soon. Will post results here.
UPDATE: sending in new shed today. Eggs from paring with Ivory + S.Enchi are pipping now and all look to be highways out of 6 eggs. Not definitive but odds in the favor of being a low expression homo asphalt. Shawn at RGI agreed the male did not look to be super and is doing a full panel rerun. FYI. Pictures after they fully hatch and will update RGI testing results of course.
A single clutch is not necessarily enough to be definitive. Odds can play evil tricks. Over the years I have had:
Just to say that I caution taking this one clutch as proof
yep i understand. shed test has been sent in
