Identification help on newly acquired ball python

Hello, I received this young male ball python and was told it was just an Enchi. I do not know the paring, and I do not intend breed him. I’m more so curious of his genetics due to the wobble he has, which is so severe he struggles with eating. He strikes at everything other than the frozen thawed mouse. I plan on getting him shed tested because of this. He does not have any other issues, other than a little underweight (because of his wobbling issue, I believe he wasn’t able to eat properly at his last home, but I have been able to feed him once a week since I’ve had him.) I catch him staring upwards in his tank often, and he will even slither upside down. I have him on paper towels and a quarantine tank so he will not harm himself.

Looks to be super pastel enchi to me.

The color almost makes me think hypo, but it could just be the lighting. If they shed and the darker markings aren’t showing up on the skin they could be. You could always consider shed testing.

There’s no spider or champagne… But I’m trash at IDing some of the other spider complex genes

That said, the wobble itself could be due to a birth defect or some environmental factor like having the temps way too high.
I have one girl that developed a wobble at a year and a half and still have no idea why. It can be really hard to figure out.

I’m glad you figured out the eating issues. They don’t look terrible, so hopefully the back 1/3rd fills out more soon.
Obviously because of the wobble, I hope you only use the ID thoughts you receive for just letting people know what this noodle is. Because I don’t immediately see the 2 most common wobble genes and we don’t know the ‘why’, this snake should never be bred.

Thank you for the detailed reply!! I will definitely take what you’ve said into consideration, and yes, I will not be breeding him. He will be shed tested, and I will share the results !! I also thought he might be a pastel enchi, though I will not be sure until the test is read.

I don’t see cypress or spotnose really, but someone please correct me, those two could be causing a wobble too, just to throw those as some more morphs that could also cause a wobble. Your baby also looks pretty young, it could just be that he’s well, young. I’ve had a few baby and juvenile balls that are especially exploratory that liked to crane their necks out to the point they’d get a bit wobbly from exerting their neck muscles, it could just be that depending on the severity of the wobble.
