Would this appear to be a cappuccino? I was told at an expo show today that he likely is through pictures… I’m just curious to know for sure. I also was told my someone that he is overweight… to me he looks healthy but I’m very new to owning crested geckos.

I can’t help with morph, but from this angle he looks to be a beautiful weight! I say that based only on this one picture and not a weight in grams, but I have seen some CHONKY cresties, and I would not say this guy fits that criteria.

Beautiful fella!

He’s definitely not overweight - as for whether he’s a capp, it’s hard to say if you dont have any lineage? Since cresties are polymorphic, there’s often a lot of visual overlap between the different genotypes, so unless a gecko is from a proven line of a specific trait it’s hard to say.

Not sure why they’d say he is overweight, he looks to be in great condition! He has no fat rolls and a nice body structure imo. Honestly if he were thinner I’d say he would be underweight if not borderline.

For morphs/traits he does have Dalmation that far I can obviously tell… it almost looks like he’s Axanthic but thats just speculation on my end, without lineage I wouldn’t say that for 100% though. Same goes for Cappuccino.
