Hi all,
Hoping you might be able to assist. I’m incubating my first clutch of eggs, have used 50/50 perlite and vermiculite and added the same weight in water. My incubator is holding steady temperature at 31c, but the eggs have started to dimple after only a couple of days. It looks like the humidity is low (there is no condensation in the tub), but I’ve done everything the way I’ve been told to
Any ideas on where I might be going wrong?

You have air flow/leakage in the tub or the incubator. Buy some Press N Seal or other self sticking food wrap and seal the top of the egg tub with it then put the lid back on. Remove the food wrap on day 50. The eggs will be fine without oxygen exchange. I hatched Ball Pythons that way for almost a decade.

Good advice, but the other option is to raise them above the vermiculite/perlite with a couple of egg crates.
That way you can over saturate the substrate so its just covered with water and will get max humidity but no risk to the animals. no percentages to worry about that way or press and seal
Alternatively have them suspended above a heated water bath as travis does…
