Hey y’all! Most of you know that I identify as a small & ethical breeder, which means I only have a few pairs of each species I breed so that I’m not compromising care for individuals. As such, my 2025 gecko season will be small - I have two females and two males, an I’m only planning on doing one pairing (space concerns, primarily) - so I figured I could post my breeding animals here and let y’all help me decide the pairings! (I know what I want to pair, but I think it could be a fun exercise to hear other perspectives and give y’all a fun chance to play around with breeding decisions. So: my breeding goals are primarily tricolor & high contrast, and I’d like to do tricolor reds as well as tricolor blacks.
My two females, who are both two and a half and will be ready to start pairing in 2025, are:
Pandemonium (harley tricolor)
… and Blossom (red harley)
Both of my females were produced in-house from pairings in early 2022, so I’m very excited to put them into the breeding rotation.
Now, the two males I have:
Soldier Boy, softscale tri lilly (from Rooted Cresties out of Tiptoe and AC Tangerine lines)
… and Prokofiev, tricolor (from Geckeysiss out of Prince Charming & Lollipop)
(He only arrived today, so I don’t have any professional photos of him yet).
So… if you were going to pick one pairing to do, which two would you pair and why? Would love to hear y’all’s ideas thrown around to give me some different perspectives.
