I wonder if this one could be a softscale, what do you think?
I do think his scales are spaced apart a bit more than my other geckos, but he might just have normal scales.

Looks fairly normal to me, though i am not sure if you could actually tell from a picture of the laterals, ive only ever seen macro-photos used as evidence. But softscale is a bit of a controversial trait tbh, cause it has been found to likely be a trait combination rather than a singular trait. There are geckos that have the softscale “look” without the scale-spacing, and geckos with scale-spacing that do not look typically “softscale”. The “softscale” look seems to be some kind of hypo-ish trait, whereas the scale-spacing, also refered to as scatter scale, makes them appear kind of bumpy from my understanding. Most of the research on the topic was done by Giulianasgeckos and another breeder whose name ive forgotten, but Giulianasgeckos has a couple documents about their findings on her webpage
Look normal to me also x
