He actually moved from behind the skull and was active. I don’t know where he is now.

Hopefully he’s feeling safer to move around since he can quickly get from one hiding spot to another. Sometimes they will bury themselves up to their snouts and wait for a food item to come by. My boy does that sometimes and other times he’s hiding on top of the substrate waiting for his meal. If you have tongs you can gently offer him his pinkie that way……

And the enclosure doesn’t look messy at all!

Ah I don’t have tongs. I kind of thought it would be better to just place the pinkie in the enclosure and leave it. I don’t want him to accidentally bite the tongs.
And I actually just threw the pinkie away…because I left it overnight.

When I used little tongs for my leopard gecko she missed the whole Dubia roach but bit the tongs. After that her upper lip was like lifted up a little. It went back to normal quickly but it still scared me.

Snakes are different than geckos. Your little guy is probably used to taking a pink from tongs so you should at least give it a try in a few days. Snakes eat from tongs all the time. Some snakes need to see movement in front of them to get their attention and smell the food. This is not the same as feeding geckos….

He might be looking for food so give him a few more days and try to get some tongs and offer him a pink……

He was out in the front today!

Have you tried to feed him again?
