Is this a paradox?

Hey all!

I have a <1 year old 0.1 Cali bee ball python and lately I’ve been looking at her tail and wondering what’s up with the “mottling”. Could any more experienced keepers weigh in? Is it just the growth of the scales or possibly a paradox?

just looks like a “dirty” spider to me.

I’m not saying that to be mean, borrowing from John Dague’s description of one of his lines of pastel axanthic.

It’s more akin to fracking on bananas, some spiders pixalate to a greater degree than others as they age.

paradox would be a BEL that has a patch of color or pattern that that presents in a random place where there should be none.

That honestly makes much more sense! Thank you!
