Is this an ovulation

My tubs are sterile at the moment due to me working on fixing something that happened with bad bedding, please dont come at me for the bare tub…there is papertowel down but she moved it.

Im pretty sure this is an ovulation, but i wanted more opinions on the matter.

She wasnt this big yesterday.

Goodness! I know next to nothing about breeding BPs, but even my uneducated eyes would have to say yes, unless she’s got one heck of a gas bubble in there, that extreme lower third swelling screams ovulation to me (though I would take my opinion with a grain of salt, I don’t keep or breed BPs)

That definitely looks to be an ovulation (or almost one - you’ll get the ovy in the next couple of days). To verify you can hold her tail up, and if her belly scutes appear kind of pinched together, that is called “tail suck” and is another indication of ovulation.

Do they always have the tail suck?

I have personally never seen an ovulation without tail suck.

I agree with @inspirationexotics, However,
It depends how often you look, its a narrow window.
If it doesnt have tail suck it looks close to it.

The end (about 2 in) has a bit of tail suck but its not overly pronounced

I’d say that is ovulation if you are seeing a huge difference + the tail suck.

You’ll most likely be expecting to see a shed around 21 days after today.
And then egg laying around 30 days after the shed. Congrats!
