Is this gecko shedding?

Hello, this is my friend gecko. She’s away from city for a while so i’ve been taking care of her gecko for a few days. Today her gecko looks somewhat white like in the photo and refused to eat. Is her gecko shedding? If so, what should i do to help? I’m still new to keeping geckos so please help me learn. Thank you

Such a pretty gecko!
Yes, she’s going to shed very soon. Geckos will eat most of the skin so don’t be surprised if her color is suddenly bright again.

It’s good to leave a nice humid area for them to hang out in while they shed. You can use some moss and squeeze out the water from it’s so it’s just damp. Another thing I would do for a few is put a little jar lid of water under a hide so they get their little tootsies wet.
Skin can sometimes stick on their toes and cause problems. You can sometimes roll a wet cotton swab over the toes to help get it off if she doesn’t get them off.

Alright, thanks for the advice

My leo also doesn’t eat for a day or two after shedding because he’s digesting all that skin (yummy), so don’t stress if she takes a day or two off feeding once she’s bright and clean again!

Yeah just once she looks like herself again look at her toes to make sure she got it all off, and if not she might need to stand in a lukewarm “puddle” for a little to help the shed come off her toes. You can also talk to your friend about what they want you to do, but that’s the basics that I know of.
